Collaboration with the Commission of Historians of Latvia

Close collaboration has developed between the department and the Commission of Historians of Latvia, whose main task is to organise and promote research on the two totalitarian regimes (Soviet and Nazi) and their crimes against Latvia and its people. Dr hist. D. Bleiere and Dr hist. I. Šneidere are members of the commission. All members of the department are actively involved in research financed by the Commission of Historians and have presented papers at all the conferences held by the commission.
